Private Label Rights Products

Private label rights products came on the market less than ten years ago. It seems they are becoming increasingly popular. I think that is because marketers are continuing to find out how versatile they are. Private label rights products are not only very useful for the marketer but are also quite inexpensive. For a quality PLR article we are talking around $1.00 per article. If you write your own articles what is your time worth? It takes me around 2 to 4 hours to write an article after I have decided upon a title. A ghost writer will charge about $10 to $20 dollars an article-sometimes more. That is after you locate a writer you feel will do a good job ad then negotiate price and quantity.

Once you understand the concept behind PLR articles, you can see why they are appealing. Most people can envision the value of adding the articles to their websites. But, did you know there are more ways to use PLR articles than that? Generally with private label rights products you may edit them as you want them. Since 100 to 500 other marketers have downloaded the same plr products it is always best to modify the article before posting on your blog or website. Always change the title. Change the title and keep keyword in the title is at time hard to do. Also consider rewriting the first few paragraphs. Mix in some stories or examples of your own specific to your niche. The concern here has to do with duplicate content. Fresh original content may always be best. I have read both sides of the duplicate content issue and have decided that I am going to use quality PLR article with the constraints I have listed. You may think much differently. If you plan to submit an PLR article to an article site you will need to change the title and rewrite the entire article. Several article directories will not accept article sentences and long phrases can be found in other parts of the web.

With private label articles you do not have to use the complete article. Consider posting part of the article on your blog or take excerpts from the article. If you have several article on the same subject that seem to flow together, put them together in an ebook. You will need to do some editing and perhaps add introductions to the next chapter. You can claim the ebook as yours. You can include affiliate links throughout the book. Include some graphics. This ebook can then be sold or given as incentive with you listed as the author.

Articles with several tips for your niche area are always popular. Combine a tip or two from several of the PLR articles into a tips article for your niche.

Most of the private label rights products distributes will provide a list of what you can of can not do with the articles. As this list can and will change with distributors, be sure and read the restrictions list peculiar to that set of PLR products. One of the restrictions most common is that you may not sell or give them away without major modification.

More Tips for Article Writing

The main reason of why articles are so useful in internet marketing is that they convey

information. There seams to be a never ending quest for information-quality information. In

this article I am going to list some more tips for article writing for you to consider in

your information article marketing. Product Review articles and How To articles may follow

a slightly different format.

1. Clearly state the purpose of the article in he first paragraph. Explain how this article

will help solve a problem they are having.

2. To help organize the material write down the steps you intend to cover. You may not

list the steps in your article, but, that will provide a road map of information to

include in your article.

3. Write in a style to make easy reading for your readers. If you use uncommon terms or

words be sure and define them. i.e. In IM(internet marketing) the term SEO (search engine

optimization) is often used.

4. Use short paragraphs to explain your points. It is better to have some white spaces than

a long block of black text. If appropriate use a subtitle to emphasize a main point.

5. You should always strive for quality articles. If you are considering how much

information to reveal, error on the side of to much. Go ahead and reveal some trade

secrets . Establish yourself as an expert.

6. Include some pertinent examples. Use personal experience examples . Give your readers

a glimpse o f the real you. At times use a hypothetical example of how it could work

out.

7. Emphasize the benefits of following your tips or main points. Save time, save money ,

wider distribution or whatever is a benefit to your readers.

8. Provide resource information to our readers. Let them know where they can obtain more

information. Use cation here, if you publish your articles to article directories,

directories seem to differ on how many internal links can be included in an article and

where they can be placed in an article. Check each directories rules for publication.

9. Have family or friends proof read your article. Ask for feed back and seriously consider

their input. It is better for your friend to find a mistake than your readers. It is

difficult for the article author to proof read an article just written as he/she

knows what was written. Often I will wait until the next day to proof read an article I

have just written.

10. Place the most important information near the beginning of the article. Summarize at

the end of the article. You want expose the most important points at the beginning of

the article to establish the quality content of the article and sometimes article

directory editors may cut things at the end of the article. In the article summary

recap the main points of the article.

Include an authors resource box at the end of the article. Here you don’t want to just

extol the credential of the author or just include a click here url. Tell your readers a

little about yourself and provide a click-able url where they can go to your site or obtain

more information.

So Many Affiliate Programs! Which One Do I Choose?

Ask questions first before you join an affiliate program. Do a little research about the choices of program that you intend to join into. Get some answers because they will be the deciding point of what you will be achieving later on.

Will it cost you anything to join? Most affiliate programs being offered today are absolutely free of charge. So why settle for those that charge you some dollars before joining.

When do they issue the commission checks? Every program is different. Some issue their checks once a month, every quarter, etc. Select the one that is suited to your payment time choice. Many affiliate programs are setting a minimum earned commission amount that an affiliate must meet or exceed in order for their checks to be issued.

What is the hit per sale ratio? This is the average number of hits to a banner or text link it takes to generate a sale based on all affiliate statistics. This factor is extremely important because this will tell you how much traffic you must generate before you can earn a commission from the sale.

How are referrals from an affiliate’s site tracked and for how long do they remain in the system? You need to be confident on the program enough to track those people you refer from your site. This is the only way that you can credit for a sale. The period of time that those people stay in the system is also important. This is because some visitors do not buy initially but may want to return later to make the purchase. Know if you will still get credit for the sale if it is done some months from a certain day.

What are the kinds of affiliate stats available? Your choice of affiliate program should be capable of offering detailed stats. They should be available online anytime you decide to check them out. Constantly checking your individual stats is important to know how many impressions, hits and sales are already generated from your site. Impressions are the number of times the banner or text link was viewed by a visitor of your site. A hit is the one clicking on the banner or text links.

Does the affiliate program also pay for the hits and impressions besides the commissions on sales? It is important that impressions and hits are also paid, as this will add to the earnings you get from the sales commission. This is especially important if the program you are in offers low sales to be able to hit ratio.

Who is the online retailer? Find out whom you are doing business with to know if it is really a solid company. Know the products they are selling and the average amount they are achieving. The more you know about the retailer offering you the affiliate program, the easier it will be for you to know if that program is really for you and your site.

Is the affiliate a one tier or two tier program? A single tier program pays you only for the business you yourself have generated. A two tier program pays you for the business, plus it also pays you a commission on the on the sales generated by any affiliate you sponsor in your program. Some two-tier programs are even paying small fees on each new affiliate you sponsor. More like a recruitment fee.

Lastly, what is the amount of commission paid? 5% – 20% is the commission paid by most programs. .01% – .05% is the amount paid for each hit. If you find a program that also pays for impressions, the amount paid is not much at all. As you can see from the figures, you will now understand why the average sales amount and hit to sale ratio is important.

These are just some of the questions that needed answering first before you enter into an affiliate program. You should be familiar with the many important aspects that your chosen program should have before incorporating them into your website. Try to ask your affiliate program choices these questions. These can help you select the right program for you site from among the many available.

So You Want to Run a Successful Home Business

We are in an era where the chances of running a successful home business has never been better. Several opportunities exist that are available to most people. The main ingredients are desire and ability to take action.

Affiliate marketing is often considered the best way to set up your successful home business. The opportunities do not stop there. Consider selling items on ebay, selling services such as web site creation, travel agencies, and of course setting up your own estore and selling merchandise. The internet search engines can provide a lot of information and discussion on whatever area you choose to pursue.

One of the most important decision needed is to consider your home business a business and not a hobby. If you treat your business as a hobby you will probably spend money on the neat little things that come along. If you treat it as a business you will tend to stick close to your budget. An amount of time needs to be dedicated where you can work without distraction. That means family and friends need to understand you may not be available at their beck and call for the time you set aside. Even the TV will have to wait.

Consider also the things or stuff you will need to conduct your successful home business. You will need an area or space to work in. A computer, printer and paper. Find a comfortable chair as you will be spending several hours sitting in front of the computer screen. If you develop a sore back or other muscles because of a bad chair you will probably find something more comfortable to do. If your work space ends up being the kitchen table, that is fine, as long as you can spend several hours of undisturbed work time.

Initially at least, managing your time and keeping focus will be reoccurring problems. Perusing and posting in forums is an excellent way of keeping abreast of your business. Using the internet search engines is an excellent way of obtaining information. I know when I start searching the forums I end up spending way to much time reading the posts, time I had scheduled to do other activities. Running a successful home business requires discipline. I have heard of some marketers that actually time their forum sessions.

It is good practice to keep a calender of the days you will need to have certain activities accomplished. A daily to do list is also a good idea. It is also important to set a hierarchy of importance for the list, for if everything on the list is a high priority then in reality nothing is a priority. I know you would not have put it on the list if it was not important. Some items need to done before others.

Time to take action. There is still a lot you do not know or understand. It is important you start anyway. Some of the prevailing thought on taking action is a revision to the old firearms marksman training of ready, aim, fire. The new course of action is ready, fire, aim. Get something started and work out the details as you are doing something to promote your successful home business .Remember it is always to early to quit.

Why I Love Affiliate Marketing – Part 4

NOTE:  The following is a guest post from one of my favorite
internet marketing mentors.

Why I Love Affiliate Marketing – Part 4
By Jimmy D. Brown of “Affiliatenaire”

I’m sure by now you are well aware that there are those who
have reported HUGE amounts of money being made with their
online businesses.  What you may not be aware of is the
amount of work involved in generating those “sales” (not
always net profit, mind you … this isn’t “spendable”
income in a lot of cases.)

That brings me to the fourth reason why I love affiliate
marketing…

** You don’t need to manage an entire business **

While it can be quite lucrative, running an entire business
with employees, inventory, partners, vendors, and other
associates can be a time-sucking, frustrating ordeal.

Imagine…

* Processing refunds
* Putting out fires when partners SPAM
* Managing day-to-day operations
* Overseeing projects you’ve outsourced
* Recruting new affiliates
* Training everyone to help you
* Paying taxes
* Taking care of the paper trail
* Doing all of the “stuff” that business owners do.

Didn’t you want to start an internet business to make
more time for important things in life?

Why not make a lot of money WITHOUT making a lot of extra
work for yourself?!

It can be a lot of extra work and stress. BUT, with
affiliate marketing, you don’t need to manage an entire
business! You are simply responsible for promoting your
affiliate link… someone else handles all the rest.

That’s why I love affiliate marketing.

You don’t need to manage an entire business.

…………………….

Jimmy D. Brown is the author of “Affiliatenaire”, teaching
you how to create big-time affiliate commission checks in
only 1-3 hours each week.  Discover how you can get cash in
the bank without a website, experience or even an idea!

More Article Writing Tips

In this article I am going to describe more article writing tips that will enhance an already well written article. You will probably notice that some of the tips could also apply to a sales presentation. After all whether speaking or writing we want to convey our information in a way that is informative, easy and enjoyable to read, and of course use acceptable speaking or writing techniques.

As much as possible be clear on who are writing to. By that I mean are your readers mature members of the niche you are targeting or are they most likely just starting out?

Use an article title that will draw readers to your article. Make your title catchy, and relevant to your article. Use descriptive words that cause people want to read the article. A title 3 Ways to Make Ice Cream at Home world be more compelling than Make Ice Cream at Home.

In the body of the article use numbered lists or ABC lists to make your points stand out. From time to time use sub headings to emphasize important parts of the article. Not all articles lend themselves to lists and subheadings. If they do not fit with your message do not use them. Avoid long sentences and long paragraphs. In a lot of cases long paragraphs simply will not be read. Short paragraphs with white spaces in between is more restful for the eyes and have a better chance of being read.

Use words and phrases that can be readily understood. You are not writing your masters thesis. If your readers have to stop and look up the meaning of words, the rest of your article will go unread. It has been said that newspapers write as though their audience has a junior high or middle school education.

Use words that convey excitement or passion about your presentation. Sometimes being a little controversial is better than a boring humdrum approach. You will have more readers and comments.

Be genuine or transparent. Stay away from hidden agendas. I know your overall intent is to interest your readers in what your are proposing, just do not be devious about it. On articles make your author resource box interesting and recommend what your are promoting in an soft sell manner. The resource box is a place to present your qualifications or expertise about the subject you are writing about. If your article is interesting and easy to read your article reader may feel your recommendation may be interesting.

Provide you readers with quality information that they may put to use. You may not want to put all your cards on the table. You do want to put enough information in your article to benefit your reader and cause them to seek more. And what better place to find more information than your resource box.

Some article directories allow article submission with anchor links in the body of the article. Be careful when you do that. With an online article your reader could click away and stay away and miss the information you have for them in your resource box.

Marketing Mindset

Affiliate marketing often presents us with action steps that we don’t know how to accomplice and may not even want to do them. Some of the things many of us put off are making a video, making a voice recording or writing a sales letter. Your difficult steps may be different. Of course all of the above can be outsourced, but, sometimes money could be a factor in outsourcing and sometimes we feel that we just need to do that particular task to get a better handle on what we are doing. We need to develop an affiliate marketing mindset.

When tasks look like they area beyond my ability or just to difficult I like to remember a saying by Henry Ford. Henry Ford left us a lot including this saying. “If you think your can or you can’t, your right.” I have seen about three different wording of that statement and all carry the same thought. If you are convinced that a task is to difficult for your there is a way above average chance that it is. I have received advice that when we are considering a difficult activity-difficult because we have never done that or we don’t have any training in that area- look the activity over closely and say to yourself that looks possible- I believe I can handle that. Actually hear yourself say those works. That puts your mind in a positive mindset making the task doable. You may have to go outside yourself to get help. There is a lot of help available using online tutorials. Searching the forums is another excellent way of finding information. That is just part of the marketing mind set.

Jim Rohm has a saying Successful people have libraries. The rest have big screen TVs.

This quote by Jim Rohn reminds us that we need to keep abreast of the information available for our business and spend time keeping abreast. When we think of libraries our minds go the picture of a room lined with shelves with many books filling the shelves. It also has a nice desk and a comfortable reading chair. I can see that picture because I also would like to have that. I don’t have that, but, I have my computer. My hard drive has the capacity to store many many ebooks and tutorials. With a little planning and effort I can categorize my ebooks and tutorials so that with a few clicks I can have the information in front of me on the screen. If the information is not on my hard drive I can use the search engines to locate the information I require. The marketing mindset involves a persistent disciplined approach.

One of my favorite sources of specific information is visiting some of the many niche forums available read the posts and post a question if necessary. Marketers using the forums have been there done that. The hard drive library you have built up and search the web library will probably yield the information you are after. It may take some time searching through all the information available-like reading through several books in your library to find the one that has your answer. Information obtained from forms can be much quicker. The marketing mindset is for ever learning and growing.

Set Time Limits for Predictable Tasks

I have posted some suggestions for getting more work done.

If you’ve never done a particular task before, you might not have any idea how long it will take to complete. Still, it’s a good idea to create your best guess and then set a time limit (with some flexibility) to help you keep on track.

There are other tasks, however, that you CAN set a definite time limit on – and you should do so whenever possible.

  • Answering email can easily turn into a time-draining task if you let it (whether you’re a answering personal or work-related emails). That’s why you should set a daily time limit for yourself to sort through, delete and answer email.

The time limit you set is up to you and it depends on the free time you can devote to this task as well as the actual volume of email you receive. For instance, you may give yourself 15 minutes two (or three) time per day to check and answer email.

  • You might like to do something like watch YouTube videos or read your favorite blogs or forums. These too can eat up your time if you let them. As such, set a time limit for yourself. And if the tasks aren’t necessary to your work, then use your free time (not scheduled work time) to do them.
